My wife and I were out for a drive and stopped here for dinner We felt underdressed but the staff did not make us feel unwelcome. The food was excellent We had appetizers and meals for a reasonable price. We will be back again, better dressed this time.

From the minute I called on the phone to see about coming in for dinner, i was greeted on the phone with a very courteous, cheerful fellow; who i later found out was the owner. It is a family run restaurant and small hotel/B&B. Our waitress was a very nice pleasant lady. The menu has a wide variety to choose from. From a burger served on a delicious homemade roll to roast duck or rack of lamb, they had it. For an appetizer the tempura cauliflower was absolutely delicious! A definite must have. Even my 87 year old dad who never eats vegetables, really like it. The waitress brought our food out as soon as it was cooked. Everyone's meal came out piping hot. The homemade desserts were to die for. Next time we're in the area, we will definitely be going back.

Awesome meals and service, nice quiet place to have conversation. Our group had a variety of plates (some shared) - stuffed mushroom appetizer, chicken schnitzel meal, swordfish special, Caesar salad and wedge salad, creme brulee. All were really great! Service and staff were also friendly and very attentive. Nice find for short drive from Hamilton or Munnsville (less than 15 min). We are from Atlanta and have plenty of great restaurants available. I would say our meal was on par with the best we’ve had in Atlanta. Not ordinary and very tasty! How did we not find this place before?!

Always love eating here. Lovely, quiet atmosphere. Lots of room. Staf is so friendly but never in your face. They make a great martini! Everything I’ve had there has been good but I have to have the clams casino every time we go. Also, favor their fish dishes, like the haddock. I live pretty close and I could eat there every night.

We stopped in after not wanting to wait for BBQ. We are foodies from NYC and were so impressed with the quality of service, the historic building and the food. The menu is a mix of a chophouse with a large selection of chef selections from paella, pasta and schnitzel. The chef is a CIA graduate which is surprising to find in Central NY. The food was fresh and i noted that the chef makes his own bread, dressing, aioli's and desserts. It's clear the chef puts care into his work. We ordered - house salad - solid salad with house dressing. nice, nothing crazy - onion soup, this was excellent. really well done, from the croutons, cheese and flavor. wow - calamari - the only thing we didnt love - chicken schnitzle - excellent, authentic - scallops - fresh, perfectly cooked. a bit too sauced, but great - creamy garlic and spinach pasta - our kids didnt love, but decent The desserts were great as well. The restaurant was very accommodating to our casual attire and 3 young kids. Amazingly kind. The entire experience is a bit like going back in time, the historic nature of the setting is hard to explain, but you really feel it.
